At Made With Intent, we help you understand in real-time where your visitor’s are in their journey, to allow you to personalise to them appropriately. To do this, we structure our data points into the framework of Intent Stages, Signals and Trends.
Intent Stages; A linear journey visitors move through which represent the mindset a visitor is in during their shopping journey.
Intent Signals; A real-time, current behavioural clue that tells you what a shopper might do next.
Intent Trends; In what direction these signals are moving
Using this framework, you are able to create segments of visitors in order to then target them in-flight or post-session (via an integration).
We provide you with a variety of pre-built segments within the platform. These can be found within the Segment Library under the Segment link of the menu.

Within the library you are able to;
Quickly identify trends across your segments by seeing their volume and conversion rate (as well as any change in the last 7 day period)
Clearly see which segments are linked to campaigns
Filter by volume, conversion rate or creation date
However, we know you may wish to create specific segments based on your own use case, so we allow you to both edit these segments (by cloning them), and create your own. You can create these through our Segment Builder; which will guide you through setting up a segment in line with the Intent Framework.

We will also soon be releasing our Advanced Segment Builder, which will give you complete flexibility with all our advanced data points to build and analyse custom segments based on your data.
Segment Conflicts
It is possible for users to fall into multiple segments if they match both criteria. As a result, if you have experiences running for multiple segments, users may see more than one experience. More information on this can be found in Managing Campaign Conflicts.
